Arnos Vale, St. Vincent – February 2, 2017 – The St.Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc. will have two competitions running from Saturday 4th February as the 2017 Cricket season intensifies.

The National Women’s 40 overs Cricket competition will get on the way on Saturday 4th February at the Buccament Bay playing field when arch rivals United Survivors take on J.G Tigress from 12:30pm. The United Survivors are the defending champions and are looking to begin their title defense with a winnings start. Northern Girls and Garifuna Stars are the two other competing teams in the female competition.

Action in the National Lotteries Authority Neil Williams National T20 Cricket competition promises to be quite intense this weekend, the penultimate weekend of preliminary games.

Matches this weekend will begin at 10:00am on Saturday 4th when RW Sporting World SVG Community College come up against Radcliffe Too at Arnos Vale Two playing field.

Four other matches are slated for Saturday, all beginning at 2:00pm. At Arnos Vale Two, French Verandah SVG Community College will meet Carl Joseph Law Chambers ASCO, Triumph United take on Owia Stars at the main Arnos Vale Playing field while Combined Youths clash with Victors One at Sion Hill.

Six matches are down for decision on Sunday 5th February. Defending champions Flow Radcliffe will do battle against Victors One at 10am at the Arnos Vale Playing field, to be follow by what is expected to be a thriller between Belfongo and Providence Electronic Solutions North Leeward at the  same venue from 2:00pm. The winner of the latter will advance to the Super Six round.

At Arnos Vale Two on Sunday, Guardian General Saints, who are already in the Super Six round, will play Bequia Cricket Association from 10:00am before the lads from the Grenadines come up against French Verandah SVG Community College from 2:00pm at the same venue.

Two matches are also down for decision at Sion Hill on Sunday February 5th. Smashers and RW Sporting World SVG Community College go head to head from 10:00am, to be followed be a clash between Combined Youths and Owia Stars from 2pm.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc. also extends a reminder that registration for the 2017 National Lotteries 50 overs Sunday League closes on Friday 10th February. Any team that registers on or before Monday 6th February will be awarded 3 bonus points for their early registration.
