Arnos vale, St. Vincent and the Grenadines – 26th October 2016 – The SVGCA Inc. Super 40 Final will be played on Sunday 30th, October 2016 at Park Hill Playing Field. Couple with the exciting Final, there will be a Toyota Allex Car to be Won by a lucky person.
The knockout round of the Super 40 took place last weekend between 4 teams in two fixtures: Victors One vs Smashers, and Flow Radcliffe vs Team Rivals. Victors One and Team Rivals have advanced to the Final.
Victors One vs. Smashers
In the 1st encounter, Victors One defeated Smashers by 65 runs to secure a spot in the finals to be played on Sunday 30th, October 2016 at Park Hill.
Smashers won the toss and elected to field.
Batting for Victors One, Donwell Hector top scored with 47 while Kenneth Dember and Miles Bascombe made 36 and 34 respectively.
Bowling for Smashers Javorn Samuel took 3 for 29 off 6 overs and Raymano Rouse took 2 for 42 off 7 over.
Smashers in their turn at the crease only made 130. Danson Andrews top scored with 46 and Kuthbert Springer scored 24.
Bowling for Victors One, Kimson Dalzell had an impressive spell registering figure of 3 for 9 off 4 overs and Shaquille Browne took 3 for 30 off 6.2 overs.
Flow Radcliffe vs. Teams Rivals
The second match played on Sunday 23rd October 2016, saw Team Rivals defeating Flow Radcliffe by 6 wickets.
Flow Radcliffe won the toss and elected to bat made 136 all out off 37.2 overs. Lindon James top scored with 42 while Kingsley Joseph made 23.
Bowling for Team Rivals Deighton Butler took 3 for 27 off 8 overs and Rasheed Fredericks took 2 for 14 off 6.2 overs.
Team Rivals got to the chase and made 142 for 5 off 33.1 overs. Dillon Douglas not out on 30 and Rickford Walker made 31.
Bowling for Flow Radcliffe Richie Richards took 2 for 35 off 6 overs.
The Final
The final takes place on Sunday 30th October 2016, at Park Hill Playing Field. The 40 overs match bowls off at 10:30 a.m. The presentation ceremony will follow the match, which will include the giveaway of a Toyota Allex Car, which the SVGCA Inc. has been raffling for the last 3 months.
The SVGCA Inc. invites all to attend the Grand Finale on Sunday, which is promised to be a full day of entertainment for adults and children.
