The SVG Cricket Association Inc. is again inviting suitably qualified persons to apply for the position of Cricket Operations Officer (C.O.O.)
Background
The COO reports to the executive of the SVGCA Inc. The role will have responsibility for all matters related to the playing and promotion of the game of cricket in the country. This will include providing logistical support and oversight for game development, high-performance programs, coach/officials education and national squads and local, regional and international tournaments/ matches.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Providing logistical support for local regional and international cricket events.
2. Maintaining cricket association inventory and overall responsibility for issuing and collecting cricket association equipment.
3. Creating and updating a database of local cricket development practitioners.
4. Overall responsibility for national squads’ preparation logistics
5. Overview of academy players and coaches including placements
6. Oversee any programs implemented or managed by the Cricket Association.
7. Coordinate with the treasurer and president to develop and manage the cricket budget.
8. Liaise with ground authorities to ensure grounds and pitches are prepared to the required standards for matches.
9. Liaise with the Umpires Association to ensure they deliver a high and competent level of umpiring service.
Required Qualifications
a) Training or experience in Sports management or administration.
b) Formal coaching qualification at a minimum of Foundation Level.
c) A valid driver’s license
Key Competencies include but are not limited to:
• Planning of programmes or events.
• Knowledge of physical education and cricket development.
• Knowledge of Microsoft office suite, electronic communication, and document preparation.
