St. Vincent & the Grenadines National U15 continues turn-around form to defeat Dominica U15 in successful run chase to record their second tournament win.

Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines – 8th April 2016 – The SVG Under 15 continues their impressive campaign in the WINLOTT Inc. Windward Islands Under 15 cricket tournament. The SVG youngsters defeated host team Dominica for the second time in the tournament after successfully chasing down 206 for the lost of 6 wickets.

The convincing 4 wickets victory came in the 43rd over, with the classy Handel Roban on 68 not out. Roban who is also the vice captain was ably supported by Jahiel Walters, who scored an attacking 42 that was laced with 9 boundaries.

Earlier, the Dominicans were restricted for 206 for 9 off their 50 overs, with some economical bowling from Desroy Hooper 3 for 25 runs from 5 overs, Ojay Matthews 2 for 36 runs from 10 overs, and Jahiel Walters 2 for 31 runs from 6 overs.

The Vincentians started the day with the commitment of dedicating this match to the unfortunate Rock Gutter victims. Manager Samuel Holder expressed his satisfaction of the level of maturity and passion the youngsters are showing in the tournament so far.

The SVG team will play their final match of the tournament tomorrow against tournament leaders St. Lucia. A win for the Vincentians can see them placing second in the tournament.
