SVG team for the WINLOTT Windward Islands Under 19 Tournament

Kingstown, St.  Vincent and the Grenadines-21st June 2016. The junior selection panel, chaired by Arnold Gilkes has selected a 13 member team to represent St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the upcoming  WINLOTT Windward Islands Under 19 tournament. The tournament will be hosted by the SVGCA inc. from June 27th to July 3rd, 2016.

SVG Under 19 is the defending champion, after capturing the title in Dominica last year. From that winning team, there are 7 players returning, including new captain Othneil Lewis, and his deputy Jeremy Layne. Both players have shown significant progress in the local season, with Lewis making the reserves of the senior team last month, and Layne currently the leading run scorer in the NLA First Division competition. Other returning players are the experience Vincent Cupid, Dellon Douglas, Husani Porter, Shane Roberts, and Rasheed Frederick. The new players include Windward Islands Under 17 players Tijorn Pope and Urnel Thomas. Other players that will take the field for SVG in the WINLOTT tournament are Kody Horne, Tilron Harry, Ronaldo Franklyn, and Kerwin Williams.

Manager Parnel Browne will continue in the position for the third year. New addition to the management team includes ECB Level 3 Coach and former Territorial Development Officer Irvin Warrican. Roxell John, qualified cricket coach and sports coordinator has also joined the team as the Assistant Coach.
