Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines – 9th May 2016 – The national senior selection panel, chaired by Roland Wilkinson has announced the female national team that will play in the three match series against Grenada. The series will give players the opportunity to gain selection on the Female Windward Islands team that will participate in the WICB tournament this year for the first time as a single unit. The three matches that will be played at Sion Hill playing field from 21st – 23rd May 2016 will include two 50 overs matches and a T20.

Veteran Juliana Nero, who has played 76 ODI and a lone Test match for the West Indies Female side will continue to captain the team. Latoya Providence has been selected for the duties of deputy. The experienced Cordel Jack, who has also played 20 ODI matches for West Indies features on the team, which includes only one change from last year, with Camille Carrick replacing Samantha Cain.

Cleton Burnett, with Samantha Lynch as his assistant, will coach the team.

The other national selectors are Arnold Gilkes, Wendel Glasgow, and Sporting Ambassador Lance John.
