Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines – 16th June 2016 – Cricket SVG is saddened to learn of the passing of long standing servant of the game, Mr. Carlos Veira, who died this morning. Mr. Veira has contributed to cricket in multiple forms over decades; he has been Manager of one of the top clubs in SVG, Team Rivals; has served as a National Selector; and offered sponsorship to many cricketers directly and through the cricket association.
The SVGCA Inc. shares the grief of his wife, children and the rest of his family, members of Team Rivals, as well as all other cricketers in the state, as we mourn the loss of this distinguish gentleman.
