Arnos Vale, St. Vincent – West Indian fast bowling legend, Sir Curtly Ambrose was the facilitator at a fast bowling clinic in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday, August 9, 2019.

The Antiguan engaged a fast-bowling group of 15 players including 3 females. The session was held at the Arnos Vale playing field. Technical assessment and advice were the main components of the clinic, however, Sir Curtly Ambrose also offered a motivational speech to the entire group, including the local coaches present. The group also benefited from some training tips to help with individual programs going forward.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) Vice President and SVG Cricket Association President, Dr. Kishore Shallow expressed his satisfaction with the event. He also expressed his gratitude to CWI and Sir Ambrose for making the training session possible.

Dr. Kishore Shallow: It is a privilege to have such a high profile and experienced individual like Sir Curtly to aid in the development of our young prospects. This would surely have a remarkable impact on the participants.

The presence of Sir Curtly Ambrose was made possible by CWI. On Ambrose’s agenda in St. Vincent and the Grenadines was to interact with the West Indies U19 players, who are preparing for the ICC Under 19 World Cup next year January.
