Arnos Vale, St. Vincent: The 2019 edition of the West Indies Under 19 tournament, now dubbed the West Indies Rising Stars u19 Championship will be hosted in St. Vincent from July 28th to August 6th.
There will be five rounds of one day (50 overs) matches contested between Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, Leeward Islands, Trinidad & Tobago and the Windward Islands. Matches will be played at Arnos Vale Playing Field, Park Hill & Cumberland. Two matches per round will be live streamed, and live updates will be available for all matches on the website.
Teams are scheduled to arrive on the 25th & 26th July, and will depart on the 7th August. After the championship is completed, the best 24 players will be selected to contest each other in a 3 match series, which will be used as preparations for the Youth World Cup slated for South Africa in 2020.
Guyana is currently the U19 One Day defending champions. Guyana has enjoyed great success in St. Vincent, winning the two previous One Day editions held here.
