ARNOS VALE, ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES – Leading global Health Information Solution provider, Populus Global Solutions (PGS) has officially entered into an exclusive partnership with St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association (SVGCA) Inc., providing their players in the exciting Vincy Premier League (VPL) with the COVID-19 Toolkit.

PGS is known for its comprehensive health platform, Populus Plus. The COVID-19 Toolkit, an additional development of the Canadian-based company, was created to help its clients to collect data that enables informed decision-making. The Toolkit is mainly for self-assessment and includes a robust and dynamic dashboard that makes for excellent data analysis, particularly for epidemiology.

With Populus Global Solutions as the official health partner for SVGCA, all players and officials involved in the VPL will record their health status as it relates to COVID-19. The software captures data such as symptoms, temperate, recent travel history, contact history, and more. The Toolkit will complement the process of monitoring players over the 10-day tournament, as part of the VPL COVID-19 protocol. The symptoms will be checked in the Toolkit daily to ensure there are no significant variances.

Spectators visiting the cricket matches will also be provided the opportunity to use the self-assessment toolkit, on a voluntary basis.

SVGCA Inc., 1st Vice President, Miles Bascombe said: “This is an exciting and timely partnership with such a first-rate company. The VPL is set to be a model for the sporting world, and we are pleased to be collaborating with a pioneer in health informatics in this challenging time of COVID-19.”

Populus Global Solutions Inc., CEO, Tristan Rutter said: “Populus has been proudly working in the Caribbean for more than 20 years and we are thrilled to enter this new relationship with SVG cricket. We wish the athletes, staff, officials, organizers and fans the best for an exciting and healthy return to sport.”

The Vincy Premier League T10 will be the first cricket tournament with international players since the COVID-19 pandemic. The 10-day tournament will start on May 22, 2020. All matches will be played at Arnos Vale Stadium, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Three matches daily (10 overs) will be broadcasted live online and tv globally.
